Business DescriptionNavicore Solutions, A Garden State Consumer Credit Counseling 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1991 and “strengthens the well-being of individuals and families through education, guidance, advocacy and support.” Nationally, we provide a wide range of services including our six core services of housing counseling, personal financial counseling, debt management program, pre-bankruptcy counseling and pre discharge bankruptcy education, financial education, and student loan counseling. This extensive range of programs and services enables our agency to address a multitude of consumer needs. Our core services include the following: • Housing counseling services that include pre-purchase, rental, default/foreclosure and home equity conversion mortgage counseling. A certified housing counselor may also assist the homeowner with negotiating a repayment plan, securing a loan modification or other possible solutions that will allow the homeowner to retain homeownership. Our housing counseling programs are integrated with others that address the needs of community residents. • Personal financial counseling is provided by certified counselors. A complete budget analysis is prepared for consumers experiencing budget, credit or debt related concerns. One on one counseling assesses the consumer’s monthly financial profile and facilitates guidance to resources. • Our debt management program (DMP) is a consolidation of all unsecured debt. Through this program, creditors may offer concessions such as lower interest rates and/or the elimination of late and over-limit fees. The DMP is offered as a viable alternative to bankruptcy, but only if it is deemed an appropriate solution and the consumer agrees to the terms and conditions of the plan. Navicore provides ongoing counseling at no cost throughout the client’s enrollment in the DMP. Client guidance counselors are available to help resolve the client’s financial problems with care, compassion and the client’s best interest in mind. In addition, all DMP clients are provided with the Money in Motion financial education course. • Approved by the US Trustees Office, we offer the counseling and education components required under the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005. Pre–petition counseling and pre discharge education is offered via the internet to consumers desiring a discharge of their debts. The counseling component involves a thorough assessment of the debtor’s financial situation and explores the options available. • Comprehensive student loan debt counseling services are offered to anyone in need. Certified counselors provide an in depth review of the borrower’s current financial situation, obstacles related to student loan repayment and help in determining eligibility for federal programs to assist in repayment. • Financial Education is delivered through individual counseling, workshops and written material. A minimum of 10,000 financial education materials are provided monthly to consumers nationwide. Community agencies and clients also access materials directly from our website library. Our agency has become a preferred provider of workshops and seminars for local community members and clients on a wide range of financial education topics. We are a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFFC) with all of our housing counselors receiving NFCC certification. We became accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) in 2011, after maintaining ISO certification since 2000. COA’s commitment to maintaining the highest level of standards and quality improvement is designed to identify providers that have set high performance standards for themselves and made a commitment to their constituents to deliver the highest quality services. Navicore Solutions is an approved Housing Counseling National Intermediary in accordance with the standards set forth by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Our counselors are familiar with various HUD housing and community programs enabling them to advise clients in detail regarding the rights and responsibilities of all parties involved in the housing transaction, laws, mortgages, notes, contracts, etc. Our standard of acting in the best interest of our clients has resulted in the agency’s outstanding reputation among our partners as well as accreditation and regulatory agencies.
